Sandhill Crane
A portrait
Our first day on the Teton trip back in May of last year, we took a drive to Yellowstone National park looking for wildlife. One of the first things we came across was a family of Sandhill Crane just a few yards from the road. We joined about a dozen tourist photographers with long lenses. One of the traits of the Sandhill Crane is that the adult male and female are practically indistinguishable. That said, I liked this clean portrait of the mom. Or dad.
I got a decent shots or two of the parents with offspring, which I will share in another post.
