Sweet Misery

Too good to pass up

Sweet Misery, Rye Harbor, Rye, NH

Another image from my scouting trip with Steven Perlmutter.

Steven does a lot more coastal shooting than I do. But, finally, after shooting with him for a few years, his passion is starting to rub off on me. When we hit Rye Harbor this past Friday, Steven wandered over to the boats that were dry-docked. He was looking specifically for graphic abstract images of hulls to add to his series. I’ve always loved the series, so I decided to follow him and steal his idea pay homage to his creative brilliance.

When I saw the name on the hull of this boat, I deviated from my quest for graphic abstracts.

“Sweet Misery” was just too good to pass up.
