The Rope

A perfectly fine but mundane boat

A fine boat, Rye Harbor, Rye, NH

Yet another image from my scouting trip to Rye Harbor with Steven Perlmutter.

We convinced ourselves that the light around sunset would be glorious that evening. So we waited for sunset at Rye Harbor looking at this perfectly fine, but mundane boat for the better part of an hour. To kill time we challenged each other to try some ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) while we waited. That exercise was so successful I will not be sharing a single image from it.

If you read my last two posts, you already know that the light was a bust; at least where we were. Had we been mere 5 miles down the the road and facing west, we would have had some spectacular color to work with.

Oh well.

So this image is something of a consolation prize, and a bit of an experiment. As I mentioned above, we were looking at this perfectly fine but mundane boat for an hour, so I looked for a way to frame it with interest.
