As I mentioned yesterday, we arrived at Dead Horse Point too late for sunrise, but still early enough to catch some great light.
The reason we arrived late was because Dead Horse Point was not our original sunrise destination. We we first set out for Hoorah Pass. The area had been hit with heavy rains the day before, but we thought the rocky road to Hoorah would be navigable. However, about a mile in, we hit a washed out section of road that forced us to Plan B — Dead Horse Point.
