Red Sled

And a lone tree

A lone tree, a red sled and its owner

With a fresh layer of snow falling last night, Steven Perlmutter and I decided to head out for sunrise this morning. The destination was Rockport and Motif #1. We pre-visualized the iconic red fishing shack sporting a light coating of snow against a gloriously colored winter morning sky.

But when we arrived, there was no snow and the glorious sky did not materialize.

We headed back inland and drove the local backroads hitting up some familiar locations — including this tree in Boxford, MA on a popular sledding hill.
