The Rocks at Pettes Cove
On a Stormy Day on Grand Manan
Our trip to Grand Manan was unfortunately marred by some pretty not great weather. Fortunately, not great weather can sometimes be a blessing. This shot, for example, is from our last-ditch effort to salvage a morning of wind and driving rain that killed our initial hike along the cliffs to photograph Hole in the Wall. Don’t even ask how that went.
Anyway, on our way to breakfast, with tails between our legs, we decided to stop at Pettes Cove to hunt compositions. The Cove was shielded from the strongest winds, the rain became intermittent, and the surf still raged. Some selective long exposure was in order.
